1. More Romance, Less Corporate Espionage: We need less boardrooms and more bedrooms! Give us passionate love stories, not endless power struggles over Newman Enterprises or Jabot. Bring back the fire!
2. Stop the Character Assassinations: Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) used to be a good guy! Now he’s a power-hungry schemer. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is constantly back-and-forth. Give these characters consistent motivations and let them grow, not just cycle through the same tropes.
3. Utilize the Veterans & the Underutilized: Where are characters like Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks)? Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson)? Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) and Michael (Christian LeBlanc)? Give them meaningful storylines, not just occasional background appearances!
4. Faster Pacing & Higher Stakes: Some storylines drag on for months. Let’s get to the point! And make the consequences feel real.
5. Bring Back the Mystery & Intrigue: Early Y&R was full of delicious secrets and slow burns. We want that back!

This show is a legend, a core part of my daily life, and I want to see it thrive. A new headwriter is a chance for a fresh start, to recapture some of that classic Y&R magic. I have hope, but my expectations are high!
