There’s nothing like fresh, new romances on daytime television, and The Young and the Restless sure does love heating things up. Most especially when men like Nick or Kyle are involved. They seem to cycle through all the new ladies in Genoa City and it looks like it’s Kyle’s turn up to bat…this time with Claire!
Passing The Test
On Friday, eagle-eyed fans need to keep watch on a short but sparky scene involving Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Claire (Hayley Erin). The pair meet for the first time when Victoria (Amelia Heinle) introduces her long-lost daughter to Summer (Allison Lanier), and in turn, Harrison (Kellen Enriquez) and Kyle, too.
Move over Summer, move over Audra, and move over every other eligible bachelorette in town! Claire is here and Kyle sure does seem interested in the newcomer. She’s beautiful, sweet, and most of all, has jokes for days to entertain his grumpy son. Talk about a complete package!
A Crazy Love Story
Of course, a love affair between these two would be messy at best. Summer is the love of Kyle’s life and part of Claire’s newfound family. Just imagine how she’ll react if she learns her cousin is hooking up with her ex and playing new mommy to her stepson. Ouch! Talk about a woman scorned!
Adding to all this is Claire’s current state. She’s not exactly mentally well yet and a tumultuous relationship could definitely set her back. She was raised by Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) to be a master manipulator and a destroyer. That kind of programming is hard to dismiss. Kyle will certainly have his hands full with this lovely lady.
This could make for a whole lot of drama, a ton of rivalry, and bad blood, and have viewers picking sides. This is the exact kind of story daytime television thrives on so why not? Let the battles begin!
