May 10th 2024, marked twenty years since Michael Graziadei first debuted on The Young and the Restless. Though his alter-ego isn’t the biological offspring of Danny Romalotti, the two are as close as any father and son — and that onscreen love extends offscreen to Danny’s portrayer, Michael Damian.

“Michael was one of the first people I got to work with and spend a lot of time with,” Graziadei relayed to Soap Hub. “He was always gracious and patient. How could I not fall in love with him for that?”
Despite Danny’s frequent absence from the canvas, the two actors stayed in touch. Remembered Graziadei: “We’ve always remained in contact. It’s been so good to have him back. We text each other as if I were his real son and if he were my real father. We’ve got a pretty fantastic relationship.”
