Viewers who stayed tuned into CBS on Super Bowl Sunday following that final touch down will get a first look at Justin Hartley’s new action-tinged drama Tracker. In anticipation of that premiere, the daytime TV alum is heading to The Talk (which also airs on CBS. Talk about synergy!) on Friday.
Justin Hartley To Talk About Tracker On The Talk
Though there’s little doubt that the graduate of both Passions and The Young and the Restless won’t delve into his time on soaps — after all, the gabby co-hosts are confessed fans of the genre — the majority of the interview segment will most likely be given over to talk (see what we did there) about his latest project.
Tracker, based on the bestselling novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver, concerns the exploits of, “lone-wolf survivalist Colter Shaw, who roams the country as a “reward seeker,” using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family.”
Hartley, who serves as an executive producer in addition to playing the lead role, will be joined by Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, Eric Graise, Fiona Rene, and Mary McDonnell.
Friday will mark Hartley’s second appearance on the chatfest to discuss Tracker. Back in February of 2023, the enthused actor told the co-hosts that he and showrunner (and “extremely close friend”) Ken Olin were all very excited by the series’ prospects.
He also provided a window into his character’s history, sharing that, “His parents are professors at Berkley, his dad kind of starts to go a little crazy, become paranoid, moves the whole family off the grid. They live in a compound, so my character Colter Shaw becomes a survivalist sort of guy…he uses all those skills to help those in need…He’s very efficient. He’s efficient in the way he talks, the way he moves, everything that he does.”
Tracker is set to premiere on February 11, on CBS immediately following Super Bowl LVIII.
