The Young and the Restless spoilers for for Friday, February 9, 2024, tease mounting anger, a strategizing session, and a refusal to back down.
Previously On Y&R: Devon called out Daniel on his bad behavior, while Lucy was thrilled at the prospect of her parents reuniting. Diane one-upped Phyllis until Phyllis turned the tables. Meanwhile, Danny stewed over his life choices. Additionally, Victor took Nikki home, much to her displeasure at being caught, but they did agree Jack would be her sponsor. Now, let’s talk about what’s coming up next.
Borrowing Trouble
Though they’ve actually given her zero cause for alarm, and despite her insistence that she doesn’t mind the two spending all hours of the day together, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) bond (made all the stronger by his acting as her AA sponsor) begins to grate on Diane (Susan Walters).
Try as she might, Diane just can’t shake the fear that something more than friendship will develop between the two. After all, Jack and Nikki did walk down the aisle together — TWICE! Who’s to say a third time isn’t in the cards? And it’s not like Jack “The Lad” Abbott is one to let a little thing like his current marriage stand in his way.
But does Diane actually have anything to worry about? Though their union is being tried, Nikki and Victor (Eric Braeden) seem stronger than ever. Heck, Victor even agreed to let Jack continue as Nikki’s sponsor because he knows that’s what his wife needs to stay sober. If that’s not a sign of just how devoted he is, then you must not know how much Victor hates Jack.
Double Trouble
Mamie (Veronica Redd) might not be known for her business acumen, but that’s not to say she doesn’t have some tricks up her sleeve — tricks that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) might benefit from. Look for these two to huddle up and talk strategy. If ever there was someone that Mamie could convince to help her oust perennial rival Jill (Jess Walton) from Chancellor-Winters, it’d be Nate.
Try Hard
Once Ashley (Eileen Davidson) gets something in her head, there’s no deterring her. When her mind is made up, there’s no changing it. She’s absolutely sure that she’s right and that Tucker (Trevor St. John) is wrong. Her version of the events that transpired in Paris is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, no matter what her ex and that waiter says. Ashley wants Tucker to know that. So, she phones him up and tells him so. Don’t expect Tucker to be amused.
Should Diane be wary of all the time that Jack and Nikki are spending together? Do you think Ashley is in the right? Head to our comments section and SOUND OFF.
