This week’s The Young and the Restless recap for January 29 – February 2, 2024, featured more questions than answers, first dates, shattered families reuniting, and so much more.
Monday, January 29
After failing to find an alternative to working together that pleases them both, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) fired Audra (Zuleyka Silver) – effective immediately! Opposite, Summer (Allison Lanier) and Chance (Conner Floyd) went on their first official date.
Jack (Peter Bergman) attempted to make inroads with Victor (Eric Braeden). Nikki summoned Jack after she nearly slipped and took a drink. They locked themselves inside her office at Newman Media and were soon startled when Victor came calling.
Tuesday, January 30
Audra tried to worm her way back into Tucker’s good graces. Nate (Sean Dominic) and Devon (Bryton James) shared a drink at the GCAC. Devon spent the evening griping about Tucker, and rightfully so.
Jack and Nikki avoided being caught together by Victor. Later, Nikki insisted to Jack that Victor couldn’t know he was serving as her sponsor. Meanwhile, Victor learns that the prison facility that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) had been remanded to burned to the ground. He avoided sharing the news with Nikki.
Wednesday, January 31st
Victor filled Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) in on the situation involving Jordan. Soon, Nikki became privy to the news herself.
All the while, Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) overeagerness at the office gave Diane (Susan Walters) cause for concern. The last thing she wanted was for her son to become a power-hungry monster.
Nate and Tucker needled one another. In the spirit of “keeping his enemies closer”, Tucker renewed his *ahem* partnership with Audra. Nate cautioned Audra against setting herself up for a big fall. Audra tried and failed to interest Nate in joining forces to take Tucker down.
Thursday, February 1
Traci (Beth Maitland) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) arrived in Paris and made a beeline for the café where Ashley and Tucker’s blowup took place. When questioned, the server who waited on the pair backs up Tucker’s version of events. An infuriated Ashley insisted the man was paid off and phoned Tucker with her accusation. Back in Genoa City, Tucker and Kyle traded barbs.
Lucy was thrilled to overhear Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Heather (Vail Bloom) recounting their intimate encounter. Daniel declared that they would reunite as a family.
Nikki took a (generous) sip of alcohol and phoned Jack. The two attended an A.A. meeting and then returned to Nikki’s office. Victor is displeased to find the two deep in conversation.
Friday, February 2
Audra warned Tucker that Ashley would always have a hold over him. Tucker questioned why Audra cared so much and she insisted that she was tired of him jerking her around. Audra demanded Tucker make a decision: cut Ashley out of his life, forever, or lose her for good. Tucker took her to bed by way of answer.
Nikki and Jack managed to cover when Victor demanded to know what they were doing together. Jack headed off to complain to Diane while Nikki told Victor she knew about the fire that destroyed the facility housing Jordan. Victor vows to protect Nikki and their family from the villainess at all costs.
Chelsea and Adam worry about their parenting skills. Meanwhile, Sally and Billy worked to reassure their respective partners. Additionally, Traci’s voicemail leftJack seriously concerned for Ashley and her well-being.
