This past week of The Young and the Restless featured feuding relatives and new business partnerships. Victoria and Victor are at odds again after he takes back control of Newman Enterprises. The Abbott brothers can’t seem to get on the same page. And Tucker has a new ally in his revenge plot. Here’s a recap from the week of Sept. 18 – 22, 2023.
Victoria’s Out For Blood
Hell hath no fury like an angry woman. Victoria is fuming after being demoted from her CEO position, and she’s not sitting back quietly. Earlier in the week, Victoria meets Nikki for dinner to discuss Victor’s business decisions. Victoria expresses concerns about her father’s capabilities to run the company and thinks it might be too stressful for him. This leads Nikki to suggest a vacation before Victor takes over as CEO.
However, Victor rebuffs his wife’s idea after an argument with Victoria. During their confrontation, Victor tells Victoria she can leave if she doesn’t like his ideas. Nikki comes in at the end of their fight and witnesses firsthand Victoria’s concerns.
Billy Angers Jack
The truce between Jack and Billy didn’t last long. The brothers agreed they needed to fight back against Tucker and get him out of town. After Jack shot down Billy’s idea of using Devon in their plan, Billy went against his brother’s wishes. Billy met with Devon at Society and warned him that his father was a dangerous man. Jack was furious when he arrived and saw Billy talking to Devon.
Tensions continued to rise between the Abbott brothers, and Jack contemplated cutting ties with Billy. Meanwhile, Billy continued his quest to take down Tucker by probing Adam for the damaging secret against McCall. Unfortunately, Billy hit a roadblock, but his suspicions toward Tucker increased after he spotted Phyllis going to McCall’s room.
Phyllis Makes A Deal With Tucker
The last thing Phyllis wants is to get involved with Tucker. But her financial problems have her agreeing to a partnership with the businessman. Tucker promises Phyllis a two-million dollar payout for helping him hack into Billy’s personal financial records. Although Phyllis has doubts about the idea and knows it’ll lead to more trouble for her. Yet, she has no other solution.
Chancellor-Winters Has A New Investor
Business drama has been a recurring theme recently on the soap opera. While the focus has been on Newman and Jabot, Chancellor-Winters is now in the mix. Lily and Devon learn that Victor sold his shares of Chancellor-Winters to a new investor. When Lily meets with Victor to find out information, Victor is mum about the investor’s identity but says the person was interested in the company. Later Lily and Devon discuss the possibility the mystery investor is someone they know. When Lily suggests Tucker could’ve brought the shares, Devon squashes the idea, but given Tucker’s past, they can’t rule him out.
Adam And Sally’s Dinner Date Ends With A Kiss
It’s the beginning of a new Adam era, or so he claims. When Adam tells Sally of his newfound attitude, she wants to celebrate by having dinner. With Nick out of town, Adam and Sally are able to have a nice meal without being interrupted. The exes have a nice time as they chat about the latest developments in their life. Adam praises Sally on her new design business, and she wishes him luck in his latest redemption attempt. The two express their gratitude over being friends and as the dinner winds down, Adam escorts Sally to her room. Adam then surprises Sally by kissing her. However, when he pulls away, he quickly apologizes and then leaves. Sally then goes into her room and reflects about their liplock.
