General Hospital spoilers for for January 4, 2024, promise a bad day for Carly, a curious day for Laura, and more.
Carly’s Devastated
After learning that her mother tragically died in Amsterdam, Carly (Laura Wright) is beside herself with grief, but Carly often masks her sadness with anger, so is that what she’s doing when she finds herself lashing out? Or, does Nina tell Carly the truth as Sonny told her to do? She might not get the words out before Carly tells her why it’s a bad time.
Meanwhile, Sonny (Maurice Benard) is still reeling from the reveal that it was Nina who tipped off the SEC to Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Carly’s insider trading mess and ends up in church where he runs into Cyrus (Jeff Kober). The criminal who claims he found God is spending a lot of time at church of late. When he sees Sonny, does he tell him about Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) Christmas Eve confession and suggest forgiveness? After all, he seems to enjoy doling out advice these days.
Joss And Dex’s Encounter
It looks like Josslyn may not know about her grandmother’s death yet as she is spending her New Year’s Day in the dorm with Dex (Evan Hofer). Unfortunately, the pair finds a drunk Adam (Joshua Benard) and Joss feels she needs to help him.
Will Joss and Dex get to the bottom of Adam’s family situation and figure out why he’s really so afraid to go home? Dex knows there is more going on with Adam than meets the eye and worries about Josslyn and Adam becoming too close.
Is Laura Getting Suspicious?
Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) is determined to keep her returned memories a secret because she’s not willing to give up her charmed little life. She knows if anyone discovers the truth, she’ll be behind bars where she belongs before she can blink.
However, she accidentally left a glove at Wyndemere during her little Christmas Eve adventure and doesn’t know that Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Laura (Genie Francis) found it. When Laura makes a realization about Esme, does she figure out that the glove belongs to her and she’s been wandering around Spoon Island? Maybe Laura can also figure out why the young woman was really there.
