General Hospital spoilers for for January 5, 2024, promise a day of angst and remembrance in Port Charles.
Sasha Tries To Be Positive
Nina (Cynthia Watros) is not sure where to turn now that her SEC secret is out. Yes, she turned in Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) out of spite, but they did commit a crime so if there was no crime, Drew would never have gone to jail. (He also wouldn’t have gone to prison if he didn’t turn himself in to protect Carly.)
However, this secret also came out at the wrong time and Nina’s attempts to apologize to Carly at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) behest went haywire because she had no idea that Carly just tragically lost her mother and neither did Sonny when he sent her there.
Now, Nina needs a little moral support so Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) is there for her and encourages her surrogate mom to have some faith. Yes, life seems bleak for everyone at the moment, but things do get better. However, Sasha warns Nina that she should just lay low and let the dust settle for a while.
Sam Vs. Drew
Sam finally made an executive parenting decision while acknowledging she has been raising her kids on her own for years because Alan Quartermaine’s twin sons are somehow never around for one reason or another. She is going to honor her daughter’s wishes and not send her to a private school.
When Sam and Drew argue, is it because Sam puts her foot down and Drew can’t accept that Scout has rights here and he needs to respect how his terrified daughter feels? Sam can tell there is something very off with this new version of Drew.
Remembering Bobbie
As news of Bobbie’s (Jacklyn Zeman) death spreads throughout Port Charles, those who knew her best and longest are most affected. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Anna (Finola Hughes) reminisce about their old friend. We expect to see loads of flashbacks to when Bobbie and Tony agreed to give BJ’s heart to Maxie.
As for Maxie (Kirsten Storms), she is also beside herself with grief and finds comfort and support from her good friend Cody (Josh Kelly). Little does Maxie know that Cody is also her stepbrother, but Felicia is determined to find out if that’s true.
