Adam Huss has been making waves on General Hospital since late 2022 when he pinch hit for Marcus Coloma as Nikolas Cassadine and then came in to finish the character’s story arc in early 2023. However, GH wasn’t the actor’s first introduction to soaps.
Adam Huss’s Buzzing Soap Debut
Way back in 2023, Huss had a memorable stint on The Bold and the Beautiful as a character named Lance Day. After Sheila’s attempt to get Lance to seduce Amber Moore away from Rick Forrester went terribly awry and Lance wanted to confess the truth, she couldn’t let that happen so she killed Lance in a very creative way.
Knowing that Lance had a bee allergy, she released a swarm of bees into his bedroom, an experience that Huss described on The Daily Drama Podcast.
“Sheila manipulated my character, Lance, and then I do all this crazy stuff to some of the regulars and she kills me with bees,” he told Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson on the podcast. “She knows I’m allergic to bees, I’m eating a peanut butter and honey sandwich that’s dripping all over me and she puts bees in the room and she’s like in a beekeeper outfit.”
However, it wasn’t all fun and games on set as B&B used real bees when they shot the scenes.
“They had a closed stage…and they hired this guy, and I think I was in my 20s, so this guy was older probably [close to] 60, and he was the only bee wrangler in town who was my double,” Huss explained.
Huss’s brother even noticed the age difference when the bee wrangler stepped in as Lance for the more dangerous scenes.
Lance Day’s Murder Is Finally Solved
It took 20 years, but in 2023, Sheila was finally arrested for killing Lance all those years ago. Bill Spencer coerced a confession out of her by convincing Sheila he was in love. Of course, coercion was the reason she was able to beat the charges so she never really paid for the crime.
As for Huss, he’s enjoying his time on GH as he brings Nikolas back to the forefront. At the moment, Nikolas has disappeared with Baby Ace, but we expect him to pop up to fight Esme Prince some day soon.
