Whether you love Nina or hate her, it’s easy to admit that General Hospital’s Nina Reeves has had a rough few weeks, but Cynthia Watros is determined for her character to fight on while being grateful to the fans who have her back — and Nina’s back.

Cynthia Watros’s Gratitude Shows

In a social media video on January 24, Watros offered a heartfelt thank you to a group of fans who sent her flowers, while also giving an assessment of Nina.

“Hi guys, Cynthia,” she said at the start of the video. “Well, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here. I just wanna ask, how are you? I hope you guys are doing well. Nina has been on some ride these, what, two weeks. Thank you for all your love and support. I came in this morning and look what was there — these beautiful flowers. You always make me feel like a million bucks and truly loved, and just thank you for being bright lights in my life.

“I wanna say that um it’s been a bumpy ride for Nina. but all of you that have supported and loved Nina and me, thank you, thank you. And those of you that are just outraged, thank you! I know that Nina is not easy to love, but she is lovable!”

Nina’s Rough 2024 Ride

Although Nina looked forward to a nice New Year’s Eve with new husband Sonny (Maurice Benard), she rang in 2024 with Sonny learning she was the one who tipped off the SEC to the fact that Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) committed insider trading. Sonny responded by slamming the door in her face for betraying his ex-wife.

Drew twisted the knife harder and coerced her into resigning as Crimson Magazine’s editor-in-chief before installing an inexperienced Carly as its new editor. To add insult to injury, Nina’s daughter Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) also refused to speak to her for reporting her mother-in-law’s crime. But, Nina has vowed to fight another day so stay tuned to find out what her next chapter will be.
