Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for October 24, 2023, finds a somber scene at the Forrester mansion and a confused scene at Forrester Creations as everyone worried about Eric.

Katie Was Absolutely Devastated

Katie (Heather Tom) and Donna (Jennifer Gareis) were still in a state of shock over the news about Eric (John McCook). While Katie overheard that Eric was dying, Donna was happy she finally had one of her sisters to confide in. She explained how Eric’s troubles started with tremors but progressed quickly. At least RJ (Joshua Hoffman) was there for Eric to help him design.

When Eric entered the room, he saw the look on Katie’s face and immediately knew she was aware he was dying. Katie flew into his arms but Eric told her she needed to stop crying. After all, he wasn’t in tears. He reminded Katie that she didn’t listen to doctor’s orders, so he didn’t have to either. He was going to live life to the fullest.

Donna was in tears as she told Katie that Eric’s been given no more than six months to live and he was determined to make those months the best of his life. That’s why this final collection was so important to him.

Ridge Wanted Answers

RJ resisted telling Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) what he knew about Eric despite Ridge insisting he knew something more was going on than meets the eye. RJ insisted they get through the fashion showdown and then just move on.

Ridge was starting to realize there was something very wrong with Eric and rightfully told RJ that he had a right to know if Eric was sick. RJ set himself to finally tell the truth, but he couldn’t get the words out. Ridge had to be satisfied with RJ explaining this was Eric’s life work and nothing more.

When Brooke and Ridge had a few minutes to themselves, Brooke wondered if RJ and Ridge’s relationship might be affected by this contest. He didn’t even have a chance to respond because Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) showed up. That’s when Brooke put him on the spot and asked whose side he was on — Eric’s or Ridge’s. Carter refused to take sides.

Luna Was There For RJ

Luna (Lisa Yamada) sat in the design office and tried to ignore a text from her mother telling her to stay away from Forrester Creations. She remembered kissing RJ and knew she couldn’t quit now no matter what Poppy (Romy Park) wanted. Carter arrived to interrupt her thoughts and wanted to know if she was ok.

Before Luna got a chance to answer, RJ popped in to sing Eric’s praises because that was all he could think about. At least Luna understood why because RJ confided in her that Eric was sick. Once they were alone, RJ told Luna that it was only a matter of time until his father discovered the truth. He also believed that Ridge deserved to know what was going on.
