Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for October 30, 2023, finds Eric hoping for the best from his big fashion finale while covering up a horrible truth.
A Forrester Creations Fashion Extravaganza
The models walked the runway in Eric’s (John McCook) and Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) gowns as Ridge and Eric looked on wondering which gowns would get the most bids. The design team made up of RJ (Joshua Hoffman), Paris (Diamond White), Zende (Delon De Metz), and Luna (Lisa Yamada) all offered dialogue explaining the fashion showdown in case fans hadn’t tuned in for the last two months. They knew how much was riding on the outcome and RJ was more aware than others.
Each design was more stunning than the other, with Esther (Kate Linder) and Marie Osmond in awe of what they saw. Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) also couldn’t believe her eyes and wanted to buy whatever she could for Fenmore’s.
Brooke Wants Answers
Eric felt there was no way he could lose and was ready to take back the reigns at Forrester Creations. Donna (Jennifer Gareis) was as confident as Eric but so was Ridge. He felt he would keep his position and so did Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). However, both men were impressed with one another’s masterpieces.
None of this stopped Eric from being frustrated that his team couldn’t prepare in his own office but was relegated to the design office instead. He told RJ he felt that Ridge was playing mind games with them. Still, Eric wouldn’t let Ridge ruin his big day. He felt his life depended on winning this contest.
As the show drew to its conclusion, Brooke noticed the looks on Katie’s (Heather Tom) and Donna’s faces and asked them if something was going on with Eric. Her sisters were not acting as celebratory as she expected. Eric also seemed off to her when she saw him earlier. Donna and Katie chalked it up to nerves and made their excuses to walk away.
Backstage, Eric had another coughing fit he was able to successfully hide. Ridge and Brooke were none-the-wiser to what was really happening to Eric. But both of them knew something was very wrong. But, for the moment, the fashion show was all they could manage to think about. At least that was exactly how Eric wanted it.
