Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for December 6, 2023, details the start of Eric’s latest grand finale, his grand soiree. In his living room where all family weddings take place, of course.
Thorne’s Devastation
Thorne (Winsor Harmon) rushed back to LA as promised and reunited with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) in Eric’s (John McCook) office. He had some questions about Eric’s big party and why he was throwing one so Ridge was forced to tell him the truth about Eric.
Needless to say, Thorne was devastated when he learned of his father’s diagnosis and prognosis. Thorne was further shocked to hear that Eric thought nobody in the family knew, so they were humoring him and putting on happy faces.
Bridget’s Heartache
The Logan ladies put on their grand soiree best in the design office but felt funny about faking their way through a celebration secretly knowing that Eric was dying. After Katie left to help Donna, Bridget arrived from NY and shared a reunion with Hope and Brooke.
As soon as she heard about her father, Bridget asked if Eric had gotten a second opinion. Bridget told her that oncologists reviewed his case and there is no cure. So, now we know Eric has some sort of cancer since we still don’t know the name of his disease.
Like Thorne, Bridget could barely believe that they had to fake it around Eric because he didn’t know that his family was aware of his mystery condition. When they all gathered in the salon before heading for the Forrester mansion, Ridge told everyone to let it all out and cry now.
Thomas, RJ, Luna, Carter, and Zende prepared for the soiree in The Forrester Creations salon. Zende apologized to RJ for getting on his case of late, so the cousins made amends before heading over to Eric’s place.
Time To Party
Eric was all ready for his big shindig but had another coughing fit before the party even began. Despite his frequent use of oxygen, Eric insisted he was well enough for the big event. He made Donna and Katie assure him that only RJ and Luna knew the truth.
Finally, the guests arrived. Eric was thrilled to see Thorne and Bridget before making a grand toast for his grand finale and grand soiree. Too bad his hands shook and everyone noticeably noticed.
