Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for December 26, 2023, details Steffy’s concerns as Hope tries to be optimistic for Thomas.

Steffy Cuts To The Chase

Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) started her day grateful to Finn (Tanner Novlan) for saving Eric’s (John McCook) life. He was getting better every day, but Finn still warned his wife that her grandfather still had a long road ahead of him.

Steffy was so thankful that her husband saved Eric that she was ready to have sex with him right in his office. Somehow, they managed to resist so they could go on talking about Eric and how his illness nearly tore her family apart.

Oddly enough, she started worrying that Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) was internalizing everything and Eric’s situation was affecting his mental health more than he was letting on. While she was relieved that Hope (Annika Noelle) was there for him, she believed Hope didn’t return Thomas’s love.

Finn wondered if she could even blame Hope after all the things Thomas has done, but Steffy defended her brother and insisted that he’s come a long since he withheld the information about Beth being alive.

A refreshed Hope and Thomas returned to work after a visit with Eric, pleased with how he was coming along. They remained optimistic and were grateful for each other. Thomas was especially happy to have Hope there to support him through everything.

Still, wasn’t sure that Eric would make a full recovery, so Hope tried to be the voice of positive reason. After all, Eric was still alive and they had to have faith.

When Steffy showed up at the design office and saw them, she immediately demanded that Hope tell her whether she was in love with Thomas or not — with Thomas standing right there.

Ridge Has His Doubts

Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) also stopped by to see Eric, but he was sleeping so they made their way to Forrester Creations to discuss the whole ordeal. They were glad Eric was still with them and that the rest of the family was on their way back from safari to see him.

Ridge remained worried that Eric wasn’t grateful to be alive. After all, he had flatlined and crossed over to the other side. Maybe that is where he wanted to be. Brooke assured Ridge that he did the right thing by allowing Finn to perform the experimental treatment.

Ridge wondered if Eric would even be the same person once he recovered — and if he would hate Ridge for not letting him go. Brooke did her best to ease Ridge’s mind but he kept flashing back to the moments he thought his father wouldn’t make it.
