“Not only did we get to play the soap tropes when we were playing [characters] on the soap, but then it also stirred up all this drama, the, ‘I think I saw that, but I didn’t see it. Did I dream it?’ ” explained the actress to Soap Opera Digest. “There’s a lot of distortion of reality.”
And while Bownes will grant that Alex does indeed stir something inside her alter-ego, especially “when they’re doing these kissing scenes, these love scenes and whatever,” she insists that: “On a mental level, she’s not attracted to Alex at all because of their past.”

Conclusion: “Even if there was [something stirring] with Alex, Chanel would block it…Chanel loves Johnny, and she would never betray Johnny.” Point-blank, PERIOD!
