Adrienne is gone but certainly not forgotten on Days of our Lives. While fans love Judi Evan’s portrayal of Bonnie, many still pine for the days of Justin and Adrienne. Will the die-hard fans ever get their wish?

Judi Evans & Wally Kurth Discuss

The daytimers touched base with Soap Hub to talk about the possibility that Bonnie may be Adrienne. Wally Kurth made it clear this was more a fun theory than anything. He told the publication that ““A very few passionate Adrienne fans” are the ones hanging onto hope for sure, but not the actors.

In fact, Kurth and Judi Evans went all out to cement Bonnie’s place on the canvas, and in Justin’s heart. “There was a scene with Jack [Matthew Ashford], and I was talking about how much in love I am with Bonnie,” Kurth explained. “I said to Janet [Spellman-Drucker, co-executive producer]. I think I really need to add a line in there about how much Bonnie looks like Adrienne.”

The resemblance has become something of a running joke with the show and the characters. First, when Susan (Stacy Haiduk) mentioned the likeness by laughing “he sure has a type,” which turned out to be one of Evans’ favorite lines of all time.

Kurth seems to enjoy things just the way they are. “I think Adrianne brought stability and truth to Justin’s life,” Judi Evans says. “And Bonnie brings the good old gusto! Adrienne had gusto, too, but a different kind.”

Does this mean the Adrienne fandom is out of luck and needs to move on? Soap fans know to never say never, but for now, at least, Bonnie is staying her quirky self.
