Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for December 12, 2023, details Nicole’s apologetic move, Leo’s threats, and Chad’s stupidity.
Nicole Is Confused
Eric (Greg Vaughan) ran into Jada (Elia Cantu) outside The Brady Pub walking around with Baby Jude in the stroller. A year ago Jada aborted their baby after a nasty chat with Nicole (Arianne Zucker), so it was a bittersweet moment. Jada congratulated Eric on his brand-new son and Eric wished Jada luck in her romance with Rafe (Galen Gering).
EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Nicole continued to console one another in the park as Nicole wondered what Leo (Greg Rikaart) meant when he said their baby was alive — as if Leo wasn’t perfectly clear with his declaration. He didn’t even use coded language. EJ felt Leo had to be exploiting their grief.
Nicole was shocked to hear that Leo snuck back into the DiMera house through the tunnels to insist their bay wasn’t dead, but EJ still didn’t believe him. Nicole just went along with whatever EJ told her. If EJ thought Leo was trying to trick them, then that must be what was happening.
Leo Makes Demands
Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) knew she had another fire to put out when Leo showed up at her front door announcing he knew she stole EJ and Nicole’s baby. Sloan tried to deny it but he had her dead to rights. In fact, he was over his crisis of conscience and now planned to do what Dimitri wanted — “blackmail the hell out of” Sloan.
Leo’s first demand was for Sloan to get Dimitri out of prison even if it seemed impossible. When Eric walked in, Sloan had more fast thinking to do. After he left, she explained that Leo needed her legal help. As always, Eric bought everything Sloan said.
At least Sloan’s day got better when Nicole and EJ dropped by with a baby gift. Nicole even apologized for insisting the baby was hers. Sloan just smiled and showed she had no conscience whatsoever.
Chad Keeps Screwing Up
When Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) spotted Chad (Billy Flynn) sitting alone in the Square, he got the nerve to approach him and see how he was doing after Stephanie’s (Abigail Klein) big move. He knew what it was like to be dumped by Stephanie and could offer his condolences. He was even impressed when he learned what Chad did to tick Stephanie off as badly as he did.
It turned out that Stephanie wasn’t doing very well as she sat around moping at her parents’ place while trying to work. Steve (Stephen Nichols) tried to give her some unwelcome words of wisdom, telling her she’d find the right person one day.
However, Steve didn’t think what Chad did was all that bad. He told his daughter that Chad loved her and didn’t want to lose her so he did what he had to do. Stephanie wasn’t very moved but didn’t have a chance to express how she felt because Alex appeared at the door to see how his ex was doing.
Stephanie thought Alex wanted her back but he insisted he was dating Theresa (Emily O’Brien) now and just wanted to be friends. Like Steve, he even tried to defend Chad, telling her she should accept his apology because he knew what he did was wrong. Stephanie still wasn’t moved but did worry about how Chad’s kid would take the split.
Of course, when Stephanie dropped a heavy water bottle on her foot and Alex helped her to the couch, Chad walked in and jumped to conclusions. That led to Stephanie walking out in a huff and Alex offering to console him with some beer.
