Days of Our Lives spoilers for January 1, 2024, promise a horrible way to ring in the new year for Nicole and two teens.

Will Holly Survive?

When Tate (Jamie Martin Mann) finds Holly (Ashley Puzemis) in the alley behind the Bistro passed out looking like she’s had a seizure, he immediately calls for help and alerts Holly’s family. After just calling Holly her joy and vowing to be more present for her, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) is absolutely beside herself thinking her daughter could die after believing she just lost her son.

They get Holly to the hospital ASAP where Nicole sits vigil by her side wondering what else could go wrong. It seems the pills Holly took were tainted, but Nicole wonders how she could have missed the signs that her teenager was taking illegal drugs.

To make matters worse, Holly’s father died on New Year’s Eve years ago thanks to addiction when Eric (Greg Vaughan) was drunk driving and hit Daniel Jonas’s (Shawn Christian) car.

Theresa Is Furious

Everyone panics and reacts when they hear what happened to Holly, but Theresa (Emily O’Brien) rightly refuses to believe that her son had anything to do with it. When Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) suggests that Tate may have been responsible, Theresa lashes out.

Tate is well aware that both Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa are recovering addicts and they both taught him to stay away from hard drugs. Theresa is furious that Alex would even make such an accusation. Will this lead to trouble in paradise and even more trouble for Tate?

Ava’s In The Hot Seat

Ava (Tamara Braun) realizes that Stefan (Brandon Barash) may have been right when he suggested that the drugs they’ve been forced to run through the Bistro might be laced. After all, they had no idea where the drugs came from or where they were headed when someone picked up the shipments.

Harris (Steve Burton) arrives on the scene to question both Ava and Stefan and they need to cover for themselves quickly. He keeps getting tips that something odd is going on at the Bistro as he tries to nail this drug-running operation. Will the jig finally be up for Ava and Stefan — and Clyde (James Read)?
