Days of Our Lives spoilers for January 3, 2024, promise another heartbreaking day for Nicole as she fears that Holly will never wake up.
Will Holly Ever Be The Same?
Nicole (Arianne Zucker) truly thought she was starting the new year right when she and EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) made love for the first time since her baby died. She never expected her last husband Rafe (Galen Gering) to call and tell her that Holly (Ashley Puzemis) had OD’d at the Bistro New Year’s Eve party.
Now, she sits vigil with Holly willing her to wake up and wondering where she went wrong. She brushed it off when she found a hungover Holly on Christmas morning. She blames herself for what happened because she didn’t notice Holly was doing drugs and wonders what led her to that.
Nicole knows Holly hadn’t had the easiest childhood but she never imagined something like this could happen. Will Holly wake up? If she does, will she still be the same vibrant young woman who left on a New Year’s Eve date?
Walls Close In On Sloan
Little does Nicole know that the baby boy she thought she lost is really with Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Sloan (Jessica Serfaty), with Sloan finding it harder and harder to keep this secret safe. She knows she will lose Eric — and go to jail — if anyone ever learns she and Melinda (Tina Huang) stole Nicole’s baby.
That means she has to keep Leo (Greg Rikaart) quiet by supporting the lifestyle he’s become accustomed to. Leo’s spending habit is getting out of control and Sloan doesn’t know how she is going to come up with enough cash to keep him in line.
More Trouble For DiMeras
EJ is well aware that Holly is in a coma thanks to the drugs that his brother Stefan (Brandon Barash) is running through the Bistro. He knows he should have helped Stefan get rid of Clyde (James Read) sooner, but may step in and do so now so no other teens take laced pills.
As Stefan and EJ argue, Everett (Blake Berris) overhears them and thinks he may have the perfect story. However, he needs to do some more investigating before publishing this big breaking news in The Spectator.
