Though fans are still going to have to wait some time for the truth to be revealed on Days of our Lives, Robert Scott Wilson assures that, when his alter-ego learns that he’s not Victor Kiriakis’s bastard son after all, the payoff will be worth it.
Robert Scott Wilson Talks Paternity Reveal
During an exclusive chat with Soap Opera News, Wilson shared that, “We recently filmed everything coming to a head. These are powerful scenes with a great payoff. We received high praise from members of the cast and crew. When you get to do what you love, get good material to work with and you leave work creatively fulfilled, it is all you can ever hope for.”
The Alex Kiriakis actor had nothing but praise for co-stars Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis) and Emily O’Brien (Theresa Donovan). The former he termed “The best,” and the latter he claimed was, “a rockstar.”
“We have a great team,” enthused Wilson, “and I can’t say enough about the opportunity to produce good, strong, and deep work.”
Seeing as DAYS is filmed upwards of seven months in advance, and this interview was conducted at the tail end of January, Theresa and Konstantin’s (John Kapelos) long con won’t be out in the open until late summer — timed, perhaps not so coincidentally, with other materials penned by returning head writer Ron Carlivati and his team of scribes. (As viewers are no doubt aware, the current goings-on were constructed by a team of interim writers who shepherded the program during the 2023 writers’ strike.)
As for what the future may hold for Alex and Theresa, who have gotten awfully close as of late, Wilson offered, “It can be tough to really root for them when the relationship is based on a lie. But you also wonder if there’s room for it to change. Maybe when the truth comes out, they can overcome it and build a stronger bond. Will it happen? We have to wait and see. Regardless, you can still root for it, even if it wasn’t pure from the beginning. We can still hope. We can always hope for love.”
