This week’s Days of our Lives recap for February 5 – February 9, 2024, featured a plethora of fires. Metaphorical and literal.
Monday, February 5
Stefan (Brandon Barash) and Ava (Tamara Braun) were caught out by Wendy (Victoria Grace) and a furious Tripp (Lucas Adams). Meanwhile, Paulina (Jackée Harry) and Abe (James Reynolds) made love…. Stephanie (Abigail Klein) forced Everett (Blake Berris) to pump his metaphorical breaks. No, she’s not in the least bit ready to play house with him.
Konstantin (John Kapelos) activated The Pawn and relayed their connection: John (Drake Hogestyn), operating under orders from his programmers, murdered Konstantin’s beloved.
Tuesday, February 6
Paulina is alerted to the news that her tumor has grown and that her oncologist wants to move her surgery date up ASAP. Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) agreed to join forces to ensure Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa (Emily O’Brien) stay well and truly apart.
The SPD successfully busted yet another drug den, while Chad (Billy Flynn) and Everett headed to Statesville for a tense conversation with Clyde (James Read)
Wednesday, February 7
Paulina’s surgery date was moved up — to the same day as Johnny and Chanel’s nuptials. The bride and groom-to-be insisted that the wedding be postponed so that Paulina could attend.
EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) took great pleasure in sticking it to Stefan. Stefan was horrified to hear that Ava had spent time with Harris — she managed to cover without outing the fact that she and Harris were plotting Clyde’s downfall.
Harris gave EJ an update on the case. EJ insisted to Harris that, if all evidence pointed to his brother being guilty of colluding with Clyde, Stefan should be arrested.
Stephanie complained to Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) about Everett’s rush to romance. John gave a concerned Marlena a song and dance story to explain away his absence the night previously. Afterward, he phoned Steve and requested a meeting.
Thursday, February 8
John filled Steve (Stephen Nichols) in on his confrontation with Konstantin. Steve was clearly affected by the name Katarina but insisted to John he had no idea who she was or why Konstantin would be targeting him for revenge.
Harris took great pleasure in sticking the (metaphorical) knife into Clyde and swearing that he was done…. Stephanie admitted to Everett she was falling in love with him again.
Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) griped about Eric (Greg Vaughan) paying more attention to the baby than to her. The two are finally left alone long enough to make love.
Friday, February 9
Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) relays some Horton family history to Thomas and Charlotte…. Tripp apologized to Ava for blasting her and Stefan.
While Sarah suggested they indulge in some good old-fashioned adult time, a distracted Xander pulled away and headed for a run — or so he said.
Alex and Theresa had a serious conversation about addiction. Later, Theresa discovered a ring box inside Alex’s coat.
In a series of coordinated attacks, Harris and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) were targeted by gunmen who opened fire, and the Horton house was doused in gasoline and set ablaze.
