Or her countless returns from the dead, each more dramatic than the last? She’s framed people, stolen babies (remember little Rachel?), and manipulated entire families. But ordering a hit on a DiMera heir? This is a new level of audacity, even for her. Johnny, who recently survived being possessed by the literal Devil (a storyline that had us all glued to our screens!), now faces a threat from within his own twisted family tree. Why Johnny? Is it about the DiMera empire? Is it revenge for something we haven’t seen yet? Or is it simply Kristen asserting her dominance in the most brutal way possible? The implication of “tomorrow” means the clock is ticking, and our boy Johnny is in immediate, grave danger!
Chanel’s Frightening Health Scare
Amidst the DiMera drama, our sweet Chanel Dupree (the vibrant Raven Bowens) received some truly worrying health news. My heart goes out to her! Chanel, who has overcome so much – from her past struggles with drugs to navigating complicated love triangles with Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and Johnny – deserves a break. She’s built a wonderful life with Sweet Bits bakery, and her relationship with her formidable mother, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry), has blossomed into one of Salem’s most heartwarming dynamics.

I’m already bracing myself for the emotional fallout and praying for a speedy, positive diagnosis for our beloved Chanel.
Xander’s Shady New Alliances: What’s His Game Now?
And then there’s Xander Cook Kiriakis (the ever-charming and perpetually conflicted Paul Telfer). Just when you think Xander is on the straight and narrow, trying to be a good husband to Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) or a loyal friend, he pulls a move like this! Wednesday saw him forming new, undoubtedly shady, alliances. This is classic Xander, isn’t it?
For years, Xander was Victor Kiriakis’s (the late, great John Aniston) go-to guy for dirty work, always walking the line between villain and anti-hero. He’s stolen, he’s lied, he’s even technically killed, but then he’ll turn around and do something genuinely selfless. Is he back to his old tricks, or is this a misguided attempt to help someone he cares about? Who is he aligning with? The DiMeras? Another powerful, perhaps even more dangerous, player in Salem? Could this tie into Kristen’s plot? Or is it something entirely separate, perhaps involving the ongoing power struggles at Titan or DiMera Enterprises? My money is on him getting involved in something way over his head, only to be pulled out by Sarah, or perhaps even Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), who always sees the good in him. But until then, Xander is a ticking time bomb, and I can’t wait to see who he’s in bed with this time!
