It was over two decades ago that Lane Davies taped his last General Hospital scenes and vacated the role of Dr. Cameron Lewis. Since then, he’s taken on several primetime roles and made a huge splash as Mackenzie Johnson on The Bay. Later this month, he returns to his old stomping grounds in scenes opposite Nancy Lee Grahn’s Alexis.
Legal Speak
As reported by TV Insider, Davies is originating the part of legal eagle Fergus Byrne who will cross paths with Alexis the week of May 22nd. As Fergus is the brother of the late Neil Byrne, with whom Ms. Davis was romantically involved at the time of his death, it remains to be seen whether or not his character will help or hinder her fight for her law license.
Aside from his time on GH, Davies and Grahn have quite a history of acting opposite each other. In the 80’s, the two played couple Julia Wainwright and Mason Capwell on the iconic soap Santa Barabara. Perhaps that old chemistry will play out again and we’ll see Alexis find her perfect match!
Outside of soaps, fans may recognize Davies for his time on The Crew (Capt. Rex Parker), Complete Strangers (Jeff), and most recently as Earl on A Unicorn for Christmas.
