Judge Squashes Ingo Rademacher’s Lawsuit

General Hospital’s erstwhile Jasper “Jax” Jacks parted ways with the ABC sudser in November 2021 after refusing to comply with a COVID-19 vaccine mandate. He subsequently filed a lawsuit against the House of Mouse which was dismissed by a judge who ruled that the actor chose not to get vaccinated for health reasons rather than refusing on religious grounds, as he claimed.

Following the announcement that Steve Burton would be returning to GH as Jason Morgan now that Disney-ABC has dropped its COVID-19 vaccine mandate, Rademacher sought to reopen his suit, arguing that Burton’s rehiring proved discrimination.

He claimed in an Instagram video at the time: “I know some of you are going to say well, If you wouldn’t have sued them, maybe you could’ve come back too, but that’s not true because what we found out during discovery is that they were trying to figure out a way to fire me (without getting sued) because they didn’t like my political and social views. So now the question you have to ask yourself is, whether you agree with me or not, do you believe in freedom of speech?

“If the vaccine mandate hadn’t come along, they would have fired me, that’s what their plan was.”

In Touch Weekly is now reporting that a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge denied Rademacher’s motion asking the case to go to trial.

Per the outlet, the court explained that it could not say “with intellectual honesty” that Burton’s rehiring, “without more information, would likely result in a different decision,” when it comes to the dismissal of Rademacher’s original case. However, Rademacher is free to file a new lawsuit that raises the argument concerning Burton.
