Today’s General Hospital recap for December 12, 2023, details Ned’s big move, Willow’s curiosity, Dante’s find, and much more.

Quartermaine Happenings

When Tracy (Jane Elliot) heard Ned (Wally Kurth) playing guitar in the Q kitchen, she immediately thought he was still Eddie Maine. Ned was happy to inform his mother that he was himself again and the real Ned liked to play guitar.

Ned apologized for how he treated Tracy when he was Eddie but Tracy had other things on her mind. She wanted him to put that guitar away and focus on getting Michael’s (Chad Duell) and Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) hands off of ELQ. Ned agreed he needed to get back to business — literally.

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) overheard Maxie (Kirsten Storms) talking to Felicia (Kristina Wagner) about her financial troubles. At least she admitted she was eavesdropping before showing Maxie her ring and announcing her engagement. Maxie immediately offered to be her wedding planner. In fact, she had already pre-planned the whole thing.

Maxie finally told BLQ about her credit card troubles, so Brook Lynn offered to loan her some money. To Brook Lynn, it was a way to fix the problem she caused by committing corporate espionage for Tracy.

When Brook Lynn got home, she told Tracy she was ready to accept her gift of Deception.

Nina’s In Trouble With Ned

Nina (Cynthia Watros) was thrilled when Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) stopped by her office for a surprise visit, but Willow wanted to know if it was genuine. She could feel that Nina was trying to distance herself. Nina explained that she’d just been busy. Willow was worried she had done something to upset her.

Nina assured her their relationship was fine before mother and daughter sat down to discuss Christmas present ideas for the kids. Willow was happy they were all going to spend Christmas Eve together.

The happy little meeting came to a quick halt when Ned showed up. After Willow left, Ned became the next person to blackmail Nina over her SEC call. As Nina pointed out, Drew would never have been in jail if he hadn’t committed the crime to begin with.

Ned didn’t seem to care and wanted something from Nina — inside information about Aurora, Crimson’s parent company. In exchange, he would keep quiet about what she did.

Liesl And Scotty End It For Good

Liesl (Kathleen Gati) met with Scott (Kin Shriner)at Kelly’s at his behest but wasn’t happy to be there. She still oddly blamed Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) for Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) death and resented Scott for representing her. Liesl also felt Scott didn’t want her back. He just wanted someone to be with.

Scott wanted them to comfort each other through the grief of losing children, but Liesl still wouldn’t go for it. She wanted to give both of her children on her own and make up for lost time with Nathan through her grandson, James.

Liesl felt that Scott was settling for her and she wasn’t going to settle. Instead, she kissed him goodbye on the cheek as she ended things for good again, but this time amicably. Scott’s next stop was the Deception office, where he invited Lucy (Lynn Herring) to visit Serena in Florida for Christmas.

Sam, Dante, And The WSB

Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Kristina (Kate Mansi) sat down for a meal at Kelly’s as well so Kristina could share her big news. She was going to be Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) surrogate after all. Sam stressed to her sister that being pregnant and giving birth was a major life experience she might not be prepared for.

Sam tried to be happy for her sisters, but she was still nervous — even when Kristina explained that she finally knew how much Molly wanted a baby when she saw her crying in the park. After hearing the story, Sam decided to support her sisters.

Brennan and Hume man also spent some time at Kelly’s where Hume reminded his boss that the diner was owned by Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) ex. That didn’t seem to bother Brennan at all as he’d taken a liking to Carly (Laura Wright). He also believed the only person who would recognize him was Anna.

Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was on the case when he used the key he found on Jameson Forsyth’s body to open a locker. In it, he found the papers that both Anna and Brennan were looking for. He took the papers and immediately put them in a safe deposit box after also finding small old photos of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Brennan.
