Today’s General Hospital recap for December 28, 2023, details Olivia’s slip of the tongue, Lucy and Felicia’s deceptions, and Alexis and Sonny’s worries.

Big Mouths From Brooklyn

Lois (Rena Sofer) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) found themselves ready to cook up a storm in the Q kitchen, but Lois had a question first. Why did it seem like Olivia was avoiding her? Finally, Olivia asked her own question — did she betray their friendship when she married Ned?

Lois assured her that wasn’t an issue at all, but Olivia now thought it was a big deal that she married Lois’s ex-husband. Lois admitted she’d always love Ned (Wally Kurth), but wasn’t IN love with him and hadn’t been for decades. She wanted what was best for him and felt that was being married to Olivia.

As the conversation continued, Lois mentioned that she still hated who Ned became around the Qs, especially since he ratted Drew and Carly out to the SEC. Without thinking, Olivia put a stop to that thought immediately and blurted out that Ned was just taking the fall, but he wasn’t the one who did it.

After some more prodding from Lois, Olivia begged her to let it go. The truth would hurt someone they loved and she just wanted that person to have a little bit of joy in their life right now.

More Deception From Deception Ladies

The Deception gals (minus Lucy) made their way to the Home and Hearth Channel — and so did Cody (Josh Kelly). When Felicia (Kristina Wagner) showed up, the two couldn’t help staring at one another. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) quietly assured Cody that she’d help him make sure his secret never came out, but Felicia couldn’t stop staring from afar.

When she saw Cody get up from the hair and makeup chair, Felicia quickly swiped a lock of Cody’s hair from a brush, intent on running her own DNA test. It’s a good thing she now works in a hospital.

Lucy (Lynn Herring) finally arrived with Scott (Kin Shriner) in tow, telling him he needed to pick a fight with her so that Tracy (Jane Elliot) would take his side. After Lucy placed a cowboy hat on Cody’s head, Tracy removed it and said it covered his eyes. That’s when Scott piped up and took Tracy’s side, leading to a fight — all a part of Lucy’s ridiculous plan.

Kristina Thinks Everything Will Be Great

As Kristina (Kate Mansi) sat around reading What To Expect When You’re Expecting, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) filled Sonny (Maurice Benard) in on their daughter’s latest plan to give birth to her own child and hand it to Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and TJ (Tajh Bellow) after it was born. Sonny didn’t see the big deal, but Alexis was a hot mess thinking about it.

She thought this was a nightmare scenario and worried Kristina would want to keep the baby who would legally and biologically be hers. Alexis explained that Kristina had never been pregnant before and didn’t understand the attachment she’d have to the baby. She begged Sonny to tell her she was wrong.

Sonny could only tell Alexis that he was proud of Kristina and believed in her. He always saw Kristina as someone who was lost both personally and professionally, but she’d found herself now and gained some much-needed self-esteem.

When Alexis wondered if Kristina would do something like slip the kid a cheeseburger because she didn’t like Molly’s vegan parenting, Sonny declared he might do it since he’d be the kid’s grandfather. And that was Alexis’s point. He’d be the great uncle and would have to live with that.

In the end, Sonny had to admit that he was also worried but they needed to let Kristina, Molly, and TJ make their own decisions.

After Kristina put the book down, TJ stopped by to talk about the conversation that Molly and Kristina had with Alexis. TJ liked the idea that using Kristina’s egg would give Molly a biological tie to the baby. He needed to hear for himself that Kristina would be nothing more than the aunt to this hypothetical baby.

Kristina assured him that at this point in her life, she didn’t want children of her own. She was excited to become pregnant, would love the baby, but would still give the baby to Molly and Kristina once it was born.
