Rumors of cast shakeups at General Hospital began circulating the internet and Laura Wright’s picture was front and center in the story. The post proposed she was leaving the show and had fans in a bit of an uproar. Thankfully, that’s not exactly the case.

Laura Wright Is Staying!

Laura Wright took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to completely shut down the post with two very simple words, “NOT TRUE.” If that wasn’t clear enough, we don’t know what is!

The conversation continued in the comments with GH co-star Jon Lindstrom hopping in. “Whaaat? I just read I was leaving soon too! Are you saying…not everything on the internet is true?” That garnered a giggle from Wright who very much agreed. “Haaaa it’s CRAZY!!”

So, folks, there you have it, right from the star’s mouths. Not only is Wright staying put as Carly but Lindstrom is as well. It makes us wonder, was there ever even a casting shake up at all? Probably not.
