Ric Lansing is one of those players that General Hospital either love or hate. There’s no in-between. His return had viewers on opposite sides of the fence. Some were thrilled and some were not. We were neutral. We were Switzerland…until today. Today, Ric went too far.
Ric Lansing Just Burst Our Bubble
Ric (Rick Hearst) came home at the exact right time to tend to Molly (Kristen Vaganos). She needed his support at the baby’s funeral and the days after. It was great to have her dad to lean on, especially since her mother was sticking so close to Kristina (Kate Mansi). We truly thought this would be his redemption. We thought wrong.
Sure, he’s been great to Molly and all, but what about everyone else? He already tried putting Sonny (Maurice Benard) on notice (but that didn’t work out too well) and now he’s gunning for Jason (Steve Burton). We simply can not like someone who hates our main man.
General Hospital Bad Blood
Not only did Ric try to get Drew (Cameron Mathison) to press charges against Jason, but he took pictures of Drew’s bruised and battered face to use at a later date. Then, even after Drew said no, Ric decided to poke the bear and try to get Jason to hit him so he could charge him. It was a dirty play and thankfully, Jason is too smart to fall for it.
We do have to wonder if Ric will run to the cops himself and try to get Jason put behind bars whether Drew wants to charge him or not. The police don’t always need the victim to cooperate (which Carly pointed out to Jason today). All it takes is evidence and Ric has that right on his phone in the palm of his hands.
Obviously, if Ric decides to do something that low he’ll have to pay the price. Does he not remember Jason’s best friend is Ric’s mobster brother…and Sonny is just looking for a reason to destroy his sibling once and for all!
