Framing Tate Brady (Jamie Martin Mann) for drug dealing was a low blow, even for a rebellious teen. My heart has ached for Tate, a good kid who’s been through so much, especially after everything his parents, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa Donovan (Jen Lilley), have endured over the years. Remember when Theresa was the wild child? Oh, how the tables turn!

EJ DiMera is Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo, RIP) son, through and through – cunning, powerful, and always with an agenda. He’s married to Nicole, which makes this even more complicated. My mind races: why would Xander expose EJ? Is it simply because he’s trying to do the right thing, linking EJ to the drug scandal in some way? Or is there a deeper, more personal vendetta at play? We know Xander and EJ have clashed repeatedly over the years, often vying for power or women (remember Sami Brady, Alison Sweeney, and Kristen DiMera, Stacy Haiduk?).
Could Xander be trying to protect someone? Perhaps he’s uncovered evidence that EJ was somehow involved in the drug operation, or even orchestrated Holly’s framing of Tate to achieve some nefarious goal. EJ is certainly capable of such Machiavellian plots. Could this tie into DiMera Enterprises? Or is Xander merely leveraging his newfound journalistic integrity to take down a long-standing rival? This could also be a way for Xander to truly prove to Sarah and the Kiriakis family that he’s changed. Whatever the reason, this will send shockwaves through Salem and undoubtedly ignite a fierce rivalry between Xander and EJ. I can already hear the dramatic music!
Kate’s Emotional Plea – What’s at Stake?
Amidst all this chaos, the legendary Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) will make an emotional plea. Kate is a force of nature, a Salem matriarch who has navigated countless corporate battles, personal heartbreaks, and family crises. She’s been married to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston, RIP), Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), and even Stefano DiMera! She’s always fiercely protective of her children, especially Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), who’s been through so much.
My guess is her plea is somehow connected to the drug scandal engulfing Salem. Is she pleading with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) or Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) for leniency for someone? Or perhaps she’s pleading with EJ, or even Xander, to do the right thing? Given her strong moral compass, and her connection to both the Horton and Brady families, it wouldn’t surprise me if she’s trying to protect Tate or someone else caught in the crossfire. Kate’s pleas are never without serious stakes, and I have no doubt her words will carry immense weight.
Tuesday, July 28, promises to be an unmissable episode of Days of Our Lives. The dominoes are falling, and the aftermath will reshape Salem for weeks, if not months, to come. My popcorn is ready, and my remote is firmly in hand!
