Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for November 22, 2023, details holiday celebrations with your favorite GC core families.

Feasting With The Abbotts

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) joined Billy (Jason Thompson) and the Abbotts for Turkey Day and got to hear all about the family’s food likes and dislikes. Billy finally admitted that he hates pumpkin pie, shocking everyone around him. Jack (Peter Bergman) was still not happy that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) still planned to trick Tucker, but he had no choice but to let her do as she pleased.

Diane (Susan Walters) was concerned when she saw that Kyle (Michael Mealor) was a little preoccupied. All he could think about was his earlier meeting with Tucker and Audra (Zuleyka Silver). When Billy approached his nephew, they made some small talk about Jabot but it was clear that Billy wasn’t sure if he could trust Kyle.

Finally, Jack proposed a toast to the whole family, expressing how much he had to be thankful for in 2023.

Ashley’s Little Plot

Tucker and Audra spent their Thanksgiving eating burgers and fries at the Genoa City Athletic Club. Audra only wanted to talk business but Tucker didn’t want any part of it. He only wanted to know what was going on between Audra and Kyle on a personal level. He thought it was more than just sex to her.

Audra accused Tucker of being jealous, but he insisted he was just being protective. After Audra prodded him some more, he admitted he might be a tad jealous. In another life, they could have made a great couple.

Soon, Ashley texted asking to have a drink. Both Audra and Tucker already knew what she was up to but he played the game with her. Audra thought Tucker still loved Ashley and there was a chance she only wanted to turn him into a human being. She even thought his plan would fail because he couldn’t get Ashley out of his head.

When Ashley arrived, Audra made herself scarce so Tucker could have a drink with his ex. They played their usual game of cat and mouse as Tucker asked Ashley to keep Devon out of their conversation. However, Ashley didn’t listen and admitted she texted Devon to meet them there.

In the end, they agreed to peace and tranquility for their family, but they also could have been fooling each other.

Mamie Comes Clean

Mamie (Veronica Redd) was overjoyed to have her whole family together for Thanksgiving as they gathered in Lily’s (Christel Khalil) apartment. Nate (Sean Dominic) was just grateful to be invited and that Lily and Devon (Bryton James) were considering giving him his Chancellor-Winters job back.

Lily brought up the elephant in the room. What is Tucker really up to and why was Mamie associated with him? She finally relented and told her niece and nephews what they wanted to know.

Mamie explained that Tucker wanted Devon to have the company for himself, meaning backing Mamie was all about ousting Jill (Jess Walton). Tucker believes that Devon is the true Chancellor heir and Jill has no right to own the company. She asked her family if they ever wondered what it would feel like to not have to run every company decision by Jill anymore.

It’s Like A Sitcom At Society

Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) planned to spend the holiday with her family at Society and heard all about Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) plans to spend time with both Devon’s family and the Abbott side of her family. Soon, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) arrived just before Michael (Christian J. Le Blanc) returned with a newly-released Gloria (Judith Chapman). It seemed she just spent six months behind bars.

Lauren and Kevin wanted to know what kind of trouble Gloria got into in Singapore and why it took Michael so long to get her released. However, Gloria didn’t want to talk about what she called the most horrible experience of her life.

Gloria was already drunk and passed out within minutes of her arrival. When she woke, she learned they would be serving themselves since Abby gave her wait staff the day off. Chloe did her best to be cheerful and find things to be thankful for. Finally, she admitted that she had an affair with a diplomat and his wife caught them.

After an altercation, she stole some of the woman’s clothing on the way out of the bedroom. The man she had the affair with is the person who ended up pressing the charges.
