The Young and the Restless spoilers for for January 9, 2024, promise a new beginning for Summer and Chance.

Life Without Sharon?

As the new year began, Chance (Conner Floyd) decided he wanted a future with Sharon (Sharon Case) but was stunned to hear that Sharon didn’t really want a future with him. He has no idea that she dreamed that Summer (Allison Lanier) and Chance would end up together a few months down the line because he still seems oblivious that Summer even wants him.

When Summer surprises a newly-single Chance on Tuesday, does that mean she confesses she feels something? She was hesitant to step on Sharon’s toes before but knowing that Sharon isn’t in love with Chance may change things. So might the conversation she had with her father that seemed to hint he has regrets over always screwing up with Sharon.

Does this mean there is now a chance for Summer and Chance? They certainly enjoy one another’s company, but could things turn into more?

A Surprise Reunion

While Ashley (Eileen Davidson) deals with Tucker’s (Trevor St. John) claims about their Parisian fight, she finds herself pleased and distracted when she runs into Cole (J. Eddie Peck) at Crimson Lights. After things ended between Cole and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) all those years ago, he turned to Ashley.

Will their reunion chat include a catch-up on all the news, including the fact that Baby Eve is really alive and is now in Genoa City in the form of Claire Grace (Hayley Erin), a young woman who recently tried to kill himself and the Newman clan? That would come as quite a shock to Ashley.

Kyle’s On Edge

After a talk with his father that came with a warning about how he handles things with Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Tucker, Kyle (Michael Mealor) is a bundle of nerves while still trying to keep it cool — especially when he is around the two people he is trying to trick.

Kyle is walking a fine line with both Tucker and Audra, but especially Audra as he tries to convince her to betray Audra. When Kyle loses control on Tuesday, will Audra be at the receiving end of his words?
