The Young and the Restless is known for reaching deep into the past to bring characters back to the forefront. Just look at Sharon and Cameron! Now, the show is reaching even further into the soap vault to recast a past flame back and bring her to the front burner. We can’t wait to see what Valarie Pettiford brings to the table as Amy!

Valarie Pettiford Is the New Amy Lewis!

At the end of October (the 29th to be exact), the show will be reintroducing the character Amy Lewis after nearly 40 years. Stepping into her shoes is Valarie Pettiford. Viewers may recognize her from her roles on The Equalizer, The Mandalorian, The Baxters, The Black List, and as Sheila Price on One Life to Live!

Fans of the show back in the day will remember Amy as Paul and Andy’s secretary. When she left, her job was taken over by Lynne Bassett (Laura Bryan Born). While details are being kept quite hush-hush about why she’s returning to Genoa City, Deadline is reporting she’ll be on recurring status.
