It’s the end of an era for prolific, Daytime Emmy Award-winning scribe Michele Val Jean. Wednesday, April 3 saw her final script for The Bold and the Beautiful air, and what an episode it was.
Michele Val Jean On Final B&B Script
“Feeling a little bittersweet as my last episode of [The Bold and the Beautiful] airs today,” Jean penned on X (formerly Twitter). “My love and gratitude to Brad Bell for giving me a home for 12 1/2 years and to my fellow writers, producers, directors, cast & crew – you guys are the best. [Heart emojis]”

A multitude of fans flooded the comments section of Jean’s post with farewells, thanks, and well-wishes for the next leg of her journey.
@peachesmel wrote, “Today’s episode was so well written! Hate that this was goodbye but wishing you luck in the future. Thanks for 12.5 great years!” while Marcel P. offered, “Where has all that time gone?! But, one door closes, and a set of “Gates” open! (See what I did there? Lol). But thank you for all of your hard work and many years of your fantastic scripts!”
That tweet was, of course, in reference to Val Jean’s current endeavor — developing The Gates, a new daytime soap opera for CBS in conjunction with Proctor & Gamble and the NAACP.
Val Jean’s work family also joined the chorus. Casey Kaspryzk, B&B’s Supervising Producer, effused, “So happy to have gotten the chance to work with you. Lots of great shows, parties, and memories over the years!”
You’re the best, Casey! ❤️❤️

And fellow dialoguer Tracey Ann Kelly sent, “We love you, Michele. Wishing you all the best in your next chapter.”
I love you, Tracey! Bonded forever. ❤️❤️

As viewers saw yesterday, Val Jean’s last script concerned the memorial being held for recently slain big baddie Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and featured exes Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Liam (Scott Clifton) finding common ground when it comes to Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and Hope’s (Annika Noelle) estrangement.
