Dick Van Dyke’s turn as amnesiac Timothy Robicheaux on Days of our Lives has netted the actor a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in the Guest Performance category, and that in turn has made 98-year-old Van Dyke the oldest nominee in Daytime Emmy history!
Dick Van Dyke – History Maker
Awards shows must seem old hat to the Mary Poppins star considering he’s already the recipient of five primetime Emmy awards, one Tony, a Grammy, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But should Van Dyke prove victorious, he’ll be secure in the knowledge that he faced some fierce competition.
Also up for the gold are last year’s winner, Alley Mills (Heather Webber, General Hospital), Guy Pearce (Mike Young, Neighbours), Linden Ashby (ex-Cameron Kirsten, The Young and the Restless), and Ashley Jones (ex-Bridget Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful).
The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony will be telecast on Friday, June 7 at 8 PM EDT/Delayed PT on CBS (with a concurrent live stream and the ability to watch on-demand on Paramount+).
