Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for November 22, 2023, details Ava’s big move, Clyde’s latest threat, and Nicole’s worst nightmare continuing.
Clyde’s Mysteriously In Charge
Ava (Tamara Braun) reluctantly accepted a collect call from Clyde (James Read) in Statesville where he once again warned her to behave or Tripp (Lucas Adams) would pay with his life. Clyde still wanted her to swipe the evidence keys from Harris (Steve Burton) and she knew she had to agree.
Outside the interrogation room, Harris broke the news to Wendy (Victoria Grace) that there was yet another murder in her little apartment. Two murders over the course of three weeks is impressive. Wendy immediately found Tripp and let him know what was going on.
When it came time for Harris to take Ava’s statement, he left his keys out on the desk and she couldn’t help staring at them. Before she could get a chance to grab them, Tripp showed up to interrupt. Harris gave them some time alone, but when Tripp started calling around for a lawyer, Ava managed to grab the keys.
Over in Statesville, Stefan (Brandon Barash) met with Clyde. The prisoner had an offer for him — or at least a threat. Something could possibly happen to Gabi if Stefan didn’t cooperate with him. But, if he did, he’d provide Gabi (Camila Banus) protection behind bars.
Abe Comforts Nicole
As Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) prepared to delve deeper into her plan to steal Nicole’s baby, poor EJ and Nicole remained in disbelief at the hospital. All Nicole wanted to know was why God kept allowing these things to happen. She lost another baby after several other devastating losses.
Soon, Stefan demonstrated that he had absolutely no compassion for anyone because he barged right into Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) room and demanded that EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) drop the murder charges against Gabi. Amazingly, he noticed a tearful Nicole right in front of him and offered his condolences.
EJ and Stefan took their conversation to the park of respect for a grieving Nicole. EJ reminded his brother that there was tons of evidence against Gabi, including her fingerprints on the murder weapon. He also named her as his killer just before he died.
So, Stefan decided to sweeten the pot and offer Stefan his job back at DiMera if he somehow dropped the charges. EJ thought about it for a minute and decided to turn Stefan down.
At least a visit from Abe (James Reynolds) was able to cheer up Nicole. She loved the flowers he brought and his company. He might not remember her completely but they still have a deep connection. He had a message for her from her brother Brandon. She couldn’t seem to answer his calls but Brandon wanted her to know he was there for her if she needed him.
Nicole poured her heart out to Abe and told him she felt losing her son was karma for being a terrible person for so long. Maybe God didn’t want her to bring a child into this world.
Sloan Learns News About Nicole
When Eric (Greg Vaughan) arrived home, Sloan had some big news for him. She had just met with Melinda (Tina Huang) and learned they’d be bringing their baby home in the morning. A Thanksgiving miracle, right?
Eric was overwhelmed by the idea of all they needed to do to get ready for a baby, but he also couldn’t get Nicole’s (alleged) tragedy out of his mind. Sloan laid it on thick as she claimed her heart was breaking for Nicole and EJ. All she cared about was making Eric a father because all independent women steal babies to keep a man.
Sloan just wanted to think positive and name the baby. However, she was not happy when he wanted the infant Samuel after none other than his sister Sami (Alison Sweeney). Sloan remembered how Sami and Nicole hated one another, so Eric told her why.
Nicole did the worst thing that anyone could do to a mother — she stole Sami’s baby. Knowing Nicole did the exact same thing she is doing now alleviated some of Sloan’s guilt. She was also happy he could forgive Nicole for doing such a thing.
