Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for December 13, 2023, details Jada and Stephanie’s revealing afternoon, Ava’s angst, and Brady’s generosity.
Let The Good Times Roll
Chad (Billy Flynn) found Everett (Blake Berris) hard at work at The Spectator. When Everett wondered why Chad still owned the paper when firing him didn’t work out, Chad announced that he liked a challenge and that putting this paper back on the map was one. In fact, Chad promised to be a very hands-on owner.
Both Chad and Everett promised that they weren’t giving up on Stephanie (Abigail Klein), with Everett warning Chad that manipulating her would not work. In the end, Chad promised Everett he would make sure the paper succeeded in honor of Abigail’s memory.
As Jada (Elia Cantu) packed up more of her things, she ran into Stephnie day drinking in The Brady Pub. She could see how forlorn Stephanie looked and wondered what was going on. Stephanie offered a shortened version of her sob story while Jada explained she was packing for a possible move into Rafe’s (Galen Gering) big house.
Stephanie invited Jada to sit down and have a drink with her and poured out her frustrations and disappointments, making moving in with your boyfriend sound less than appealing. She quickly tried to Jada that this had nothing to do with her and Rafe, but Jada had her own sad story to tell.
Jada was still a little gun-shy after her divorce and liked having her own place. Still, the idea of moving in with Rafe was appealing. As Jada started describing Everett as an introvert and workaholic, Jada thought he sounded just like her ex-husband. What a coincidence.
Just as Jada was about to show Stephanie a photo of her ex, Harris (Steve Burton) happened in and they invited him to have a drink with them. Harris tried to understand what these two drunk ladies were talking about and just went with whatever they had to say. However, he didn’t want to be called ‘Harry’.
The women convinced Harris to have more than one drink, with the party just getting started.
Ava And Stefan Freak Out
Ava (Tamara Braun) prepared for the grand re-opening of the Salem Bistro, now under Stefan’s control via Clyde Weston (James Read). Harris wanted to help, but she just wanted him out of the way. He could tell she was nervous, but she explained she needed that night to go perfectly. Harris finally left and lamented he’d be reading a book by his lonesome that night.
Meanwhile, Stefan (Brandon Barash)stood in the Square arguing with Clyde on the phone. As soon as Clyde promised to “go nuclear,” he hung up, sending Stefan into a public tailspin. He headed straight to the Bistro where he told her that Clyde was ready to move more drugs than ever out the back door.
Ava and Stefan knew they had to stop Clyde, with Stefan vowing to get rid of Clyde for good. Ava was also a little unnerved because Stefan reminded her of Jake, a man she loved and missed very much. However, the tender moment was ruined when one of Clyde’s men delivered some product.
Tate’s Fate
As Theresa (Emily O’Brien) tried to dispose of the hoodie she wore when kidnapping Baby Victoria, Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Tate (Jaime Martin Mann) happened by and wondered what the heck she was doing rummaging through a trash can in the park. She quickly made an excuse, so Brady turned the conversation to Tate — namely his education.
His former school was willing to admit him again but Brady needed his vaccination records and Theresa didn’t have them. As they argued, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) showed up and tried to make peace between the co-parents. Brady and Tate exited the scene, leading Alex and Theresa to buy a Christmas tree for their apartment.
They then discussed their childhood Christmas traditions. Theresa admitted she was the black sheep of the family. Still, had an idyllic upbringing, aside from her parents’ divorce and remarriage and her mother’s Dissociative Personality Disorder. (Didn’t that happen before she was born?)
Later, when Tate and Brady sat down in Horton Square, Tate told his dad that he didn’t want to go back to boarding school. He liked it in Salem. After some more discussion about school, Brady decided his son should have fun and handed him his credit card.
