Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for November 3, 2023, has Eric and Sloane getting married, EJ fury at Gabi and Stefan, Stephanie’s encounter with Everett — and what appeared to be a murder.
Eric’s Impulsive Wedding
Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) was surprised when Eric (Greg Vaughan) announced he wanted to get married right away. After all, they were planning to adopt a baby so they may as well wed. Eric explained adoption agencies would like them better if they made it official. Sloan agreed and readied for a wedding.
Eric’s next stop was Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) place. He needed his mom to officiate his wedding, but she wasn’t so sure. Was Eric just doing this because Nicole (Arianne Zucker) just got married? Eric had to convince her that this was the right move, so she finally agreed to help them out and marry them right in her apartment.
They invited Roman (Josh Taylor) to be a witness before Sloan arrived in a pink cocktail dress ready to say ‘I Do’ to the man of her dreams. When Brady (Eric Martsolf) returned home, he became the second witness. Did they even have a chance to get a marriage license? If not, nobody seemed to care. Marlena was ready to “get this party started”
So, that’s just what they did as everyone gathered in the living room and watched Sloan and Eric marry. When the ceremony was over, Eric and Sloan immediately headed home to have sex while Marlena, Roman, and Brady prayed this marriage would actually last.
EJ’s Shock And Fury
Gabi (Camila Banus) and Stefan (Brandon Barash) were ready to have a champagne toast to their DiMera takeover success when EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) interrupted them to find out what the heck was going on. They explained that Li (Remington Hoffman) had turned over his DiMera shares to them so he was fired and that was that.
EJ just thought this was a revenge tactic, but Gabi insisted it was much more than that. They wanted power and now they had it. At this point, EJ wished that he’d had Rolf (Richard Wharton) save Jake rather than bring Stefan back to life. When he told Nicole the news, she was shocked.
What The Heck Happened to Li?
Li told Marlena that he was doing great when Marlena called to check on him, but he was still seething inside after Stefan and Gabi’s little trick. She had no idea that and was brandishing a knife as he spoke while also having zero clue what he really meant when he said that Gabi was now dead to him.
Wendy (Victoria Grace) questioned the knife when she walked in, but Li just made a cooking excuse. Wendy knew there was something more going on so Li told her all. His sister was furious with Gabi while Li just worried about what his father would think.
At this point, Li seemed to be losing his mind and wished Gabi pain, which alarmed Wendy. She wanted to cancel her dinner with Tripp, but Li convinced her to go. When she later called to see how he was doing, she got his voicemail. That’s because he was actually lying on his apartment floor, literally stabbed in the back.
Soon, Stefan entered the apartment to find Gabi kneeling with a knife in her hand.
The Saga of Chad And Stephanie
While EJ argued with Stefan and Gabi, Nicole had a chat with Chad (Billy Flynn) down in the living room. Nicole brought up the possibility of Chad marrying Stephanie (Abigail), so he told her what’s been going on. Nicole admitted that once someone has your heart like Abigail had Chad’s, it might not be possible to completely let them go.
Stephanie got a shock when she ran into Everett (Blake Berris) in Horton Square. He lived in Salem now and was the new editor of The Spectator. This was his chance to start fresh — and be near Stephanie. Everett didn’t want to make this awkward for her, so he agreed to respect her boundaries since she was with Chad now.
Everett could tell there was something wrong with Stephanie’s new relationship, so she told him everything. She insisted she and Chad were just going through a rough patch and things would soon be fine. Everett seemed supportive, so they sat down, had some coffee, and caught up on life. When their little date was over, they hugged and Chad saw the whole thing.
