Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for December 7, 2023, details Chad’s bad day, Maggie’s naivete, and Jada’s reluctance to make a big move.
Stephanie Moves Out
In the Square, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) confronted Chad (Billy Flynn) over his actions. She knew he bought the paper to fire her ex. Chad denied it at first until Stephanie informed him that she had proof. Then, he finally had to confess.
Chad made excuses for himself, telling Stephanie that it was clear Everett (Blake Berris) was going to make a move. He even implied that was the only reason he hired her as his PR person. Stephanie was growing tired of Chad’s jealous streak after already experiencing it with Alex.
Stephanie then went for the jugular and told Chad that at least Everett wanted to marry her before his accident, unlike Chad who just wants to live together and make her a surrogate mom to his two small children.
Everett’s opinion of Chad changed as soon as he knew he lied to Stephanie, bought The Spectator, and promptly fired him. So, when Chad appeared at his door after Stephanie left him in the Square, he wasn’t happy.
Not surprisingly, Chad told Everett he could have his job back as long as he answered one question. Was he in Salem to get Stephanie back? Everett didn’t mince words and said he was because he loved her and wanted to spend his life with her.
When Chad arrived home he learned he may have made the biggest mistake of his life because Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) handed him Stephanie’s key to their apartment.
Rafe Wants Jada To Move In
Rafe (Galen Gering) and Jada (Elia Cantu) enjoyed the after-glow following a romp in the sack. When they started discussing spending the night at each other’s places, Rafe had an idea. Jada should move in with him. After all, he has a big house he lives in all by himself and it would save the trouble of having extra toiletries at his house and her room.
The offer came as a shock to Jada and thought surely he must be joking. She didn’t think their relationship was at that point yet, but Rafe had been thinking about it for a few weeks and was ready to take that plunge.
Jada wasn’t sure she was ready. After all, the last person she lived with was her ex-husband and that didn’t go well. Rafe admitted his marriages were also a disaster, but he wasn’t afraid to try love again. Oddly enough, we learned that Everett was Jada’s ex.
More Tall Tales From Konstantin
Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) ran into Konstantin (John Kapelos) near The Brady Pub. He was living in the Salem Inn now with Maggie flipping the bill for him, but he wasn’t done with his plan to scam Maggie some more. He even had a confession to make. He couldn’t go back to Greece any time soon.
The two sat down for some coffee at the Pub so Konstantin could explain why he had to stay in Salem. That’s where they ran into Alex and Theresa (Emily O’Brien). The roomies had been discussing a dinner date, but as soon as Theresa saw Konstantin, she tried to hide her face.
Alex and Theresa tried to get out of there as soon as they could, but Konstantin stopped them so he could apologize for accusing her of being a gold digger last week. Too bad for Konstantin, Theresa fake refused to accept his fake apology.
In fact, when they got home, all Theresa could do was badmouth Konstantin. She claimed he was the gold digger, not her. When Alex tried to defend him, Theresa started to soften. That sent Alex in the opposite direction, thinking Theresa might be right.
Back at the pub, Konstantin continued the innocent act. He thought she believed he was a gold digger, something Maggie found to be outrageous. He was a survivor who could never return home because the Greek mafia warned him he’d be a dead man if he did.
Black Patch At Work
Steve (Stephen Nichols) paid a visit to John (Drake Hogestyn) so they could talk over the Konstantin matter. Steve told his partner all about Konstantin making excuses for his lies and Maggie believing everything he said. He even had a phony reason for why he was involved in Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) baby being kidnapped.
John and Steve knew they had to step up their investigation into this con, so they got to work determined to prove that he was behind the kidnapping, one that was very sake with the baby in no danger at any point.
Ever the detectives, they managed to hack into the security camera feed from the bank across the street from the park. They found a woman in a hoodie holding a baby but couldn’t make out who it was. So, they put in a call to Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) to get some answers.
