Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for October 30, 2023, finds Gabi and Stefan deciding on a new mark, EJ in a rush to marry, and Stephanie torn between two men.
Gabi And Stefan Advance Their Plan
Gabi (Camila Banus) and Stefan (Brandon Barash) were surprised at how angry Brady (Eric Martsolf) was at them for not actually helping him get custody of Rachel, but they were still happy they got Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) shares. They prepared themselves for EJ’s (Daniel Feuerriegel) reaction and knew he’d be furious.
Gabi soon freaked out seeing someone wearing a zombie costume in the Square. She explained that she once saw Nick Fallon (Blake Berris) as a zombie haunting her on Halloween, so she was now terrified of them.
Stefan didn’t believe in people coming back from the dead, so Gabi reminded him that he came back from the dead. However, he preferred to call it a hibernation. She also explained the Marlena possession tale to him. When their talk shifted back to getting more DiMera shares, Gabi suggested they go after Li (Remington Hoffman).
That might not have been the best idea as Marlena (Deidre Hall) was alarmed when a disheveled Li entered her office declaring that he was losing his mind. He explained that he hadn’t been able to eat or sleep for weeks because he knew he’d lost the woman of his dreams — Gabi. She might have been over Li but Li was certainly not over her. Li also confessed he was in on the plan for a brainwashed Harris (Steve Burton) to kill Stefan.
Li was also worried about what he would do next. His obsession with Gabi was getting out of hand and he was afraid of his own self. Marlena wondered if he might do something criminal.
EJ’s Fury Alarms And Annoys Nicole
EJ couldn’t wait to tell Nicole (Arianne Zucker) what Gabi and Stefan had done. Now, they had an equal number of shares and were thisclose to having control of DiMera Enterprises. EJ had to stop them from blackmailing another member of the family fast.
Nicole was weary of listening to EJ’s woes about his brother and sister-in-law and tried to get to the bottom of what happened. EJ was sure that Gabi and Stefan had blackmailed Kristen, but he also blamed Kristen for caving. She had to remind EJ that he was going to a dark place and he wanted her to stop him so that’s just what she was doing.
The DiMera infighting was getting to Nicole and she questioned her sanity for bringing a baby into this mess. But, she thought EJ was her baby’s father, so in her mind, it was the best thing she could do. She would marry EJ and make a happy home with him. EJ was all for that and ready to get married that night but she wasn’t about to wed on Halloween.
Stephanie’s Lost Love Shows Up
Kate (Lauren Koslow) was there to listen when Chad (Billy Flynn) poured out his sorrows over his fight with Stephanie. He explained that Steve (Stephen Nichols) was pushing for him to marry Stephanie (Abigail Klein) again and she admitted it was true. She wanted to get married sooner rather than later.
Chad just wasn’t ready and understandably so because he’s only been a widow for a little over a year. He wondered if Stephanie ever knew the kind of love he knew with Abby, his wife, and the mother of his two children. Kate convinced Chad to go home and have some alone time with Stephanie.
As for Stephanie, she was surprised when her ex-boyfriend Everett (Blake Berris) appeared at her door. He was in Salem to see her but she had no desire to see him considering they had this great love affair and then he ghosted her. Everett explained that he was in a coma. Not only that, but he had amnesia. So far it sounded like Everett is the quintessential soap character and will fit right in with the Salem crowd.
As Everett told his tale, he couldn’t help himself and pulled Stephanie in for a kiss. Stephanie was not pleased and told him he couldn’t just show up after so long and expect to pick up where they left off. He knew all about her new life with Chad but didn’t care. He wanted her back and was thrilled to hear she wasn’t married or engaged.
After Everett left to give Stephanie time to think, Chad returned and all Stephanie could think about was her ex.
