Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for November 1, 2023, details Li’s past love life, Holly’s schoolgirl crush, Nicole’s big plans, and Eric’s heartache.
Gabi’s Latest Rotten Plan
Marlena (Deidre Hall) began another session with a disheveled Li (Remington Hoffman) who looked worse than he did the day before. Li was forced to confess that he’d only had one relationship before Gabi (Camila Banus) and it didn’t end well. They were high school sweethearts but his father ended their relationship because he felt the girl was beneath their family.
His father offered the girl’s father a good job, but they’d have to move away and that’s just what they did. He never mentioned the girl’s name again until that very moment. He never expected to love again until he met Gabi. He worried that someone would take Gabi from him like his father took his first love. However, talking about his situation made him feel better and lighter than he has in ages. He hoped he would finally be free of Gabi and his obsession.
While in bed, Stefan (Brandon Barash) and Gabi discussed their plan to get Li’s shares of DiMera Enterprises. They just had to get proof that Li had tried to kill Stefan. They realized the only thing they could do was try to get Li to confess and record it.
Unfortunately, their plan for that was as elaborate as the one they had for Kristen. Gabi shocked Li when she called and claimed she’d been kidnapped.
Holly’s Wedding Angst
Tate (Jaime Martin Mann) was thrilled to hear that Holly (Ashley Puzemis) had a dream about him on Halloween night until he learned that it was just a nightmare and it involved snaring Johnny (Carson Boatman). Holly quickly covered for herself when she realized Johnny heard part of the conversation. She claimed a girl from school was jealous of her and a concerned Johnny wanted to make sure she wasn’t being bullied.
They were both surprised when EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) walked into the living room to announce they were getting married today. Holly wasn’t happy to hear the news because Johnny would be her stepbrother. She wasn’t sure if they’d be able to ever date.
When Nicole later asked Holly why she wasn’t happy about the wedding, Holly claimed it was because of Eric (Greg Vaughan). She was lying but still poured it on thick, telling Nicole that she once thought of Eric as her real dad. She claimed she always thought Nicole and Eric would be together again one day.
EJ continued with his wedding plans by asking his brother Chad (Billy Flynn) to ask him to be at the wedding. He was the only brother EJ was talking to who happened to be in Salem at the moment. Chad was even going to officiate.
Eric’s Wedding Angst
Eric and Tate reunited at The Brady Pub and spent some time getting to know one another again. Tate admitted he liked a girl from school who didn’t like him in the same way. Eric was surprised to hear that it was Holly whom Tate was interested in — a girl who used to call him “Daddy.”
After his chat with Tate ended, Johnny showed up in a suit and told Eric that EJ and Nicole were getting married that day. When Eric was alone on a bench in the Square, Nicole approached him to talk.
