It’s been a busy week for Kristen Alderson. The former General Hospital star (ex Kiki) recently welcomed her first child. Being a new mom is a joy for the daytime alum and she took to Instagram to mark the occasion.
A Birth Story
In her celebratory post, Alderson talks about being in love with her new daughter and shares the story of how her little one came Earth side.
“Last night at 11:17pm, marked 1 week of Kiera!!!😭😭 It’s true what they all say, it’s a love like you’ve never felt before✨💖✨I keep breaking down in tears when I look at her, sing to her, talk to her. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted. What an insane week it was🙌 I couldn’t wait to find out/ live through what her birth story would be, definitely not thinking it would be nearly 48 hours of contractions only to end in a c section😅Moms are truly incredible🙌💪 I feel honored to be a part of the club. And @crousore , you’re already the best daddy ever and the most supportive partner💕We made her!?😭 Beyond blessed for the love/support of my family (especially my parents for taking us in and being the best help in the world😩) THANK YOU for the love you all sent us during this incredibly exciting time😍 Also shout out to the labor & delivery nurses we had at Abington Hospital😭 Angela, Kaitlyn, and Maria🙌 They really MADE the experience absolutely incredible. Dr. Boileau performed my c section and I could cry just thinking about how kindly she took care of me. I go into detail on the podcast, but that episode won’t come out for a few weeks.☺️ Time to go back to crying to Kiera that I can’t believe she’s a week old already🤣💖”

Fans first fell in love with Alderson during her days as Starr Manning on One Life to Live. She played the role from 1998 – 2012, then reprised it on both General Hospital and the Prospect Park reboot of OLTL. Alderson subsequently returned to GH as Kiki Jerome and remained in the part until 2015.
