Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for December 7, 2023, details the tears at Eric’s big living room party.

Everyone Fakes It, But Will They Make It?

Eric’s (John McCook) grand soiree continued with the host thrilled that Thorne (Winsor Harmon) and Bridget (Ashley Jones) were actually there in front of him while his other four kids were on safari.

Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) worried his siblings wouldn’t be able to keep up the act for long but they were also struggling not to let Eric know they were aware of his diagnosis, as Hope (Annika Noelle) pointed out.

Donna (Jennifer Gareis) tried to cover for Eric when he nearly spilled a glass of champagne but everyone noticed anyway. When Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) tried to talk to her grandfather without crying, she told him she was trying to live up to her name. Eric could feel Stephanie’s presence there with them and knew he’d see her again in due time.

Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) didn’t know how he’d get through the evening without breaking down and wondered if this was his last chance to spend time with Eric. Hope assured him she was there for him because he had to be strong. When Eric saw them together, he told them to stop worrying about what others thought of their relationship. If they made each other happy, they needed to go for it.

Finally, Eric gave a speech to his loved ones as they all tried to hold back tears.

Is There A Doctor In The House?

Bridget just wished she could help save her. After all, she was a doctor and that was her life’s work — saving people. During a moment alone with Steffy, he told her how proud he was that she was married to a physician.

While everyone partied with somber faces at the Forrester mansion, Finn (Tanner Novlan) was in his hospital office hard at work going over Eric’s medical records. Something just wasn’t adding up. When Li (Naomi Matsuda) found him there rather than with Steffy, she told him to go be with his wife.

Meanwhile, Steffy was annoyed that Finn wasn’t there yet because she had no idea what he was really doing at work. He couldn’t stop looking at his notes and googling for answers because he knew time was running out for Eric.
