Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for October 26, 2023, details Eric and Ridge ready for their big show. However, Eric first had to give RJ some bad news.

RJ Can’t Believe His Ears

Eric (John McCook) was at the top of his game ready for the fashion show. Sadly, RJ (Joshua Hoffman) and Donna (Jennifer Gareis) were alarmed when they saw Eric’s hands shake when he was putting a finishing touch on a dress. Eric brushed it off and thanked RJ for all he had done for him.

RJ soon became alarmed when Eric mentioned that his life was riding on this new collection. RJ could tell there was something more going on than arthritis, so Donna told Eric that RJ had the right to know everything because he was his design partner.

Eric realized Donna was right and confessed to his grandson that he was dying. RJ was absolutely devastated and couldn’t hold back the tears. Eric told him not to cry but to embrace life. He wanted to live in the moment. As RJ argued that Eric needed specialists and not a fashion show, Eric told him a show was exactly what he needed.

RJ insisted that he tell Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), but Eric refused. He didn’t want to see the same look in Ridge’s eyes that he now saw in RJ’s.

Ridge And Lauren Have A Chat

Ridge used Eric’s office to prep for the big event with Hope (Annika Noelle) and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) on hand to help. After Thomas and Hope left, Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) and Esther (Kate Linder) paid a visit and Ridge was thrilled to see his old Genoa City friend and meet Esther.

All Esther could do was rave about the dresses and tell Ridge she dreamed of one day wearing a Forrester original. That’s when Lauren decided to take Esther’s fan girl show and go back to their hotel till the show began the next day.

Once alone in Eric’s office, Ridge drank a toast to his dad while looking at a younger photo of Eric.

Thomas Is Ready To Design For Hope

The Bold and the Beautiful – Thomas and Hope

Thomas and Hope spent some time alone in the design office where they discussed the show. Thomas felt that Ridge had to win the contest because it was the best thing for Forrester Creations and Hope For The Future. With the prep for this battle, their line lost their budget and was stalled.

The two shared some close moments together where Thomas told Hope he wanted to design a whole new line just for her and capture her essence. After all, she has changed over the last few months and she’s inspired him to create.
