Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for October 27, 2023, details Gabi and Stefan’s dirty little trick, Marlena’s sheet horror, and Chad and Stephanie’s final decision.

Gabi And Stefan’s Plan Works

Days of Our Lives – Kristen and Stefan

Gabi (Camila Banus) actually started showing a slight crisis of conscience as she started editing a fake child abuse video for Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) eyes only. Perhaps she and Stefan (Brandon Barash) had sunk too low with their latest greedy scheme to gain control of DiMera. She knew how she’d feel if anyone ever accused her of abusing Ariana.

Stefan agreed that this was a very dirty plot, but to him, it was a means to an end and he convinced Gabi to go on with the plan. He promised her that the video would never go public. They just wanted to scare and blackmail Kristen

As for Kristen, she enjoyed a nice lunch with EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel), but she knew what was coming. EJ suddenly wanted to discuss business before heading home. She knew he wanted her DiMera shares, so he explained that Gabi and Stefan wouldn’t target her if she just temporarily signed over her shares to him. Kristen could only laugh in his face at such an idea.

When Kristen returned home, she told Gabi and Stefan what EJ was up to, but was then blindsided by what her other brother and his wife had in store. She couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw that video and realized she had no choice. She was also horrified to realize Brady (Eric Martsolf) was in on this plan.

After the little signing ceremony was over, EJ arrived home to learn she was right. Gabi and Stefan did target Kristen and she felt she had no choice but to give them what they wanted.

Brady Learns He’s Been Had

Days of Our Lives – Oct 27 – Brady

When Marlena (Deidre Hall) told Brady that their dinner with John’s (Drake Hogestyn) dad could be a celebration because he was about to get Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) back, Marlena was immediately alarmed. Brady had to be involved in something no good in his desperation to have custody of Rachel again.

Marlena almost blew a gasket when Brady explained he was in on a plot to make it look as if Kristen was abusing Rachel. Brady agreed that Kristen would never physically harm Rachel, but thought she emotionally manipulated her. To him, that justified him teaming up with Gabi and Stefan to lie like this.

Marlena warned him that this was going to cost him Rachel for good, but Brady refused to believe that. Marlena begged him to put a stop to this mess, but he refused. He was too desperate to be with his little girl again. By the end of the hour, Gabi and Stefan informed him the video had been deleted and he was just as much a victim of their plan as Kristen was.

It’s Over For Chad And Stephanie

Days of Our Lives – Chad

Stephanie (Abigail Klein) was embarrassed when Chad (Billy Flynn) told her that her dad thought she wanted to marry him sooner rather than later. She also wished her parents would just mind their own business. However, she had to admit it was true and Chad had to decide what to do with that information.

Chad was right when he told her they needed to communicate feelings like this but Stephanie didn’t want to pressure him. But, at this point, she had to be blunt and ask him why he wanted her to move in with him and the kids if marriage wasn’t on his mind.

Chad knew the next step should be marriage, but he just wasn’t sure when that would happen. That’s when Stephanie told him she knew she’d never escape Abigail’s shadow and thought they should just end things. Stephanie worried that Chad would disappear on her just the way a man from her past did. When she got home, that man from the past appeared at her door.

Meanwhile, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) took Steve (Stephen Nichols) to task for interfering in Stephanie’s love life once again. That’s when they reminisced about their own love story and we were treated to glorious Stayla flashbacks.
