Kristina’s (Kate Mansi, General Hospital) plunge from Ava’s (Maura West) hotel room window into the Metro Court below looked quite the daring feat — but there was some fun to be hand, even with all the technical wizardry at work

“It truly takes a village (to throw someone out of a hotel window on daytime television),” quipped GH’s official Instagram site. “Let’s give [Kate Mansi], her stunt double [Tiana Webberley], and everyone whose work today’s General Hospital must-see TV!”

Alongside the plaudits was a brief video showing exactly what went down behind the scenes to pull off that shocking stunt.

Fan reaction to the scene/clip was unanimously positive. Well, near enough! “Pa.Repetirlo” offered: “This was the biggest shock moment GH has had in a long time!! My mouth was hanging open for quite some time before I realized it was still open.”

Several members of the ABC sudser’s own cast chimed in, including Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) who wrote, “So good,” and Cassandra James (Terry Randolph) who penned: “Incredible! Consistently impressed by everyone involved in our production for their ingenuity and talents!”
