The L.A.P.D. is appealing to the public some two months after Johnny Wactor (ex-John Wactor, General Hospital) was shot and killed after happening upon his murderers robbing his car for parts.
Public Appeal Issued In Unsolved Homicide of Johnny Wactor
On Sunday, authorities released stills from a surveillance camera showing the three individuals suspected in Wactor’s murder, as well as the stolen black Infiniti Q50 Sedan they fled in.
According to police, the suspect accused of firing the fatal bullet has a tattoo above the left eye and on the right cheek. The department is asking the public for assistance in identifying the three suspects.

Wactor, 37, was gunned down in downtown Los Angeles in the early hours of Saturday, May 25. Anita Joy, Wactor’s coworker and a friend of over a decade, recounted how he’d escorted her to a nearby parking lot where they chanced upon three men interfering with the actor’s vehicle.
Per her harrowing recollection, Wactor approached the men and “simply ]stated] that it was his car and for them to leave. Hands open to his sides in peace. Johnny was between me and the man who shot him.”
In the days and weeks that followed the tragedy, Wactor’s godmother set up a GoFundMe to raise funds for his grieving family and several of his beloved General Hospital costars organized and participated in a march aptly named #JusticeForJohnnyWactor through the streets fo Los Angeles.
Anybody with information about the shooting is asked to contact either detectives Howarth — at (213) 996-4143 — or Bobadilla – at (213) 996-4173 — during normal business hours or to notify the Central Area Watch Commander.
