Though their coupledom isn’t exactly setting the canvas ablaze — or apparently a priority story point — Summer and Chance (Conner Floyd) seem happy enough. And yet, Young and the Restless viewers can’t help but wonder whether or not the blonde bombshell might ever get back together with her old flame (not to mention ex-husband) Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). That question was put to actress Allison Lanier, who took some time to ponder.

“I think that Summer is happy with Chance right now,” she eventually granted to Soaps In Depth. “Although I definitely think that going through this drama with Kyle, it’s bringing up some emotions. I don’t know if it’s romantic or not, but definitely, I mean, you can see in what’s playing out right now, there’s a push-pull between them.
“There’s just a lot of emotions going on. But yeah, I think romantically speaking, that’s probably not going to happen right away.” But, like any good soap actress, Allison Lanier knows better than to ever say never. There’s no telling when the tale will turn.
