Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for November 9, 2023, details Hope not bowing down to Steffy and Thomas defending himself.
Steffy’s In For A Rude Awakening
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was ready to take Hope Annika Noelle) to task for ‘having fun’ with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) in the design office, but Hope was ready to fight back. It’s not like others have not had their fun in there too, right? Steffy told her that she wouldn’t allow Hope to undermine Thomas’s progress.
Hope informed Steffy that was the last thing she intended to do. When Steffy commented on how much Hope had changed, Hope asked if it was because she was now living her own life. She was in control of her actions now, no longer doing what everyone else wanted her to do. She was with Thomas now and he was there for her.
When Hope said that she and Thomas were having fun, Steffy wondered if it was all a game she was playing. Hope denied that accusation and insisted that she and Thomas were on the same page. Steffy just felt that Hope was abusing Thomas’s feelings and treating him like a sex toy.
Steffy then wondered if Hope being with Thomas was payback to her for coming between her and Liam (Scott Clifton) for years. An incredulous Hope informed Steffy that she was not the center of her universe. She was with Thomas because they understood each other and she enjoyed what they had.
Steffy had to wonder if Hope was becoming her mother. Hope admitted she used to be terrified that would happen but now she doesn’t care.
Thomas Can Take Care Of Himself
Over in Eric’s (John McCook) office, Taylor (Krista Allen) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) agreed that Hope and Thomas should not be together, but still disagreed on who started it. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) tried to remain neutral until Thomas walked in to defend himself. He was happy to see his mom and knew they were talking about him.
Thomas told Brooke that he didn’t have to justify his feelings for Hope, but Taylor begged to differ. She told Thomas that the feelings weren’t reciprocal so being with Hope was a mistake. Thomas said knew everyone had their opinion about his life before informing them all that Steffy and Hope were arguing about it all in the other room.
Ridge was the sensible one, asking everyone to take a step back and allow two adults to deal with their own relationship. He was more worried about Sheila than the fact that Thomas and Hope were sleeping together. At least Brooke and Taylor could agree that Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and Deacon’s (Sean Kanan) romance was weird.
Taylor Confronts Sheila
Sheila did her best to brighten up Deacon’s apartment, complete with a framed photo of Hope on display. They were happy and in love and nobody was going to stop them from being together. They even liked having a secret engagement for now. People knew they were together, but they didn’t know a wedding was on its way.
Deacon was happy to keep the engagement under wraps until Hope came to terms with the fact that he was in love with Sheila. He was sure she would come around because his daughter was one of the most forgiving people he ever met.
Soon, Taylor stopped by to demand that Sheila stay away from her family. She knew who Sheila really was and felt she didn’t change at all.
