Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for December 5, 2023, details Eric’s party plans and Thorne’s change of plans.
He Wants A Party?
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Katie (Heather Tom) were stunned when they learned Eric (John McCook) wanted to throw his grand finale soiree that very night. Eric wasn’t up for such a thing but clearly, Eric didn’t care. He was ready to celebrate his life whether his family liked it or not.
Katie insisted Eric needed a chance to recover from collapsing but Donna (Jennifer Gareis) insisted he might not get that chance so the party would be that day and that was that. Meanwhile, poor Eric was holed up in bed in the guest house using an oxygen mask when needed.
Donna did her best to talk Eric out of the party, convinced people would take one look at Eric and know something was wrong. Eric assured her he was feeling better and all would be fine, even remembering the first moment he met Brooke at another grand soiree 36 years ago. Later, we saw flashbacks of his life with Stephanie.
Ridge Makes Some Calls
The Forrester Creations team sat down with Hope (Annika Noelle) to go over Hope For The Future business but they found it hard to focus considering what was going on with Eric. None of them thought they could fake it through a party and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) hoped Eric would change his mind.
Hope worried that Eric would learn they all knew, but Ridge assured her that they’d all just put on an act no matter what it took. When Brooke and Katie arrived to tell them about Eric’s fall, the crew was more alarmed than ever. They could barely believe the party was in just a few hours.
Finally, Ridge decided it might be time for his siblings to know what was going on. His first call was Thorne (Winsor Harmon), who was due in LA soon. Ridge told him to get there even sooner because he had a grand soiree to attend. Thorne argued that Kristen, Felicia, and Rick were on safari and would never get there in time.
